test IMEI Number - What can I check with IMEI number ?

Mobile phones have an analogue of the VIN number of the car. This is called IMEI. If you've ever thought about buying a used car, you know how important it is to check your Vehicle Identification Number (VIN) ahead of time. This 17-digit code tells almost everything about the car you are buying. Or, if you've ever sold a used car yourself, you know that a VIN is one of the first things a serious buyer will ask for. If it shows that you are acting in good faith. Mobile phone's IMEI number check is the same

iCloud activation lock status

Apple provides a very useful Find My iPhone tool for years, but it got even better after iOS 7.0 introduced "Activation lock" or "iCloud lock". If you're looking for a used iPhone, find one in good condition and reasonably priced, but having "Activation Lock" turned on is an red flag. An activation-locked iPhone can only be unlocked using original owner's iCloud credentials. So buying a locked iCloud phone is not a good idea.

CHECK SIMLOCK status

A SIM lock, simlock, network lock, carrier lock or (master) lock is a technical restriction built into GSM and CDMA mobile phones by mobile phone manufacturers for use by service providers to restrict the use of these phones to specific countries and/or networks. This is in contrast to a phone (retrospectively called SIM-free or unlocked) that does not impose any SIM restrictions

CHEck phone blacklist

If the phone is blacklisted, it means that the device has been lost or stolen. Blacklist is a database of all reported IMEI or ESN numbers. If you have a device with a blacklisted number, your carrier may block services. In the worst case, local authorities may take your phone.
